There Is One, Part 1: One Love

March 6, 2022 / Brian Behrends, Creative Pastor / Ephesians 4:1-6

“God loves you.
He’s on your side.
He’s coming after you.
And He’s relentless.”
– Eugene Peterson

Ephesians 4:1-6
1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Love .

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. – John 3:16

Love .

A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. – John 13:34-35

Love .

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind. – Luke 10:27

.

We love because he first loved us. – 1 John 4:19

Ephesians 2:4-5, 8-10
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, 5 made us alive together with Christ…

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
